The NC AWWA-WEAorganizes 3 Collection & Distribution Schools each year.
Most Collection & Distribution schools will also offer courses for credit in The Academy for Water Professional Development.
IMPORTANT BOOKSTORE UPDATE
NC AWWA-WEA is currently selling the Fourth Edition of the Water Transmission & Distribution textbook and that is the book that will be used for the March 2017 Collection & Distribution School.
As of March 1, 2017, only the Fifth Edition will be available through NC AWWA-WEA or AWWA. The Fifth Edition will be used for the July 2017 and October 2017 Collection & Distribution Schools.
The corresponding workbook for the Water Transmission & Distribution textbook is no longer available through NC AWWA-WEA.
Coastal Collection & Distribution School

Purpose & Classes Offered
The objective of these schools is to REVIEW the basic concepts in the proper operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The curriculum will provide information that should be helpful in preparing a participant for the voluntary certification exam in Meter Technician and the mandatory certification exams in Water Distribution, Backflow/Cross-Connection, and Wastewater Collection.

Coastal Collection & Distribution School Vendor Show, March 15, 2017

Western Collection & Distribution School Vendor Show, July 12, 2017
Central Collection & Distribution School Vendor Show, October 4, 2017
At each of these schools we host a Vendor Show on Wednesday to give attendees an opportunity to meet with their fellow students, instructors, and vendors. We invite vendors to display products targeted towards Collection System Operators, Distribution System Operators, Meter Technicians, and Backflow/Cross-Connection Operators. Spaces can be reserved for a fee of $150 (non-refundable) per Collection & Distribution School. Your space cannot be guaranteed until your fee and application have been received.
