Membership Services Committee

Purpose
The primary responsibility of this committee is to proactively engage new and existing members of NC AWWA-WEA through the following goals:
- Retain Current Members – Identify opportunities to provide membership related benefits; leverage other subcommittees; develop partnerships with other organizations; establish retention and recruitment plan.
- Attract New and Diverse Members – Develop marketing materials; market at strategic events; maintain connections to other committees; create new member activities; leverage existing direct mail campaign; establish retention and recruitment plan.
- Increase Member Involvement – Maintain new member welcoming program; coordinate committee tables at training events and conferences; use NC Currents and eNews emails as tools to convey involvement opportunities; host Industry Newcomer/Student Meet & Greet.
- Be the Diversity Example – Establish diversity within the committee; create visibility and awareness with target groups and employers; coordinate with other committees.
- Be the Champion of Membership and National Awards – Champion NC members to national awards; champion NC related membership award opportunities; use NC Currents and eNews emails as tools to convey award opportunities.
Organization
The Membership Services Committee is comprised of a Chair, Vice-Chair, Board Liaison and any interested NC AWWA-WEA members.
