    2017 Confluence Invitation from http://www.confluence.cc/

Every year since 2003, a group of about 130 water professionals from Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina gather for a unique meeting we call the “Confluence Conference.”  This meeting is set aside for provocative presentations and rich discussion about water in our communities.  To work beyond our local circles, we have found this annual experience among the three states to greatly deepen our connections and commitments to protecting shared waters, and to inspire our work. Our attendees are primarily from water utilities and agencies that work every day to protect drinking water supplies and the environment.

This year as the Joint Conference Committee planning began, it became evident that many of the issues we face collectively are related to the approach our industry takes when responding to challenges. With so many current struggles in our communities, we are re-doubling our efforts to work on issues concerning public trust in our water management.

The theme for the 2017 Confluence Conference is “Protecting our water resources, are you up to the challenges?”. Come find out if:
You are ready to respond to water quality challenges?
You are prepared to respond to water availability issues?
How your regulators are responding to these challenges?
What others are doing to prepare for extreme event?

Knowledgeable is power and being prepared will help all of us better serve our communities. We hope you will join us. Come to work beyond your “local circle” and cultivate a new partnership that is mutually beneficial.
