The committee is made up of members from all aspects of the water and wastewater profession including but not limited to water treatment, wastewater treatment, collection and distribution, groundwater, regulatory agencies, suppliers, engineering, management, and Association staff. The committee chair typically serves a two-year term, and is succeeded by the committee vice-chair.
The committee meets approximately 9 times per year. Seminars are planned and scheduled at the committee meetings. The committee assigns one or more coordinators for each seminar to be developed. The coordinators are responsible for developing and organizing the seminar program. Association staff handles the logistics for each seminar including site logistics, meals, and registration.
The committee works with and provides support to other Association committees that organize specialty seminars. They also partner with other professional organizations to provide expanded training opportunities.
