Students & Young Professionals Committee

 

Purpose

  • Encourage YP’s and students to participate in NC AWWA-WEA
  • Recruit YP’s and students to join NC AWWA-WEA
  • Develop interests of YP’s and students
  • Promote awareness among the YP’s and student groups
  • Help educate other Association members about the value and unique contributions of the YPs and Students.
  • Create meaningful/continuing opportunities for students and young professionals to interact; increase mutual awareness of the water and wastewater industry; promote mutual career growth in the industry
  • Creating and maintaining student chapters at local universities
  • Increase student involvement in the organization
  • Provide transition for students to young professionals
