Finance Committee

Purpose
The purpose of the Committee is to advise the Treasurer, the Chair of the Associations, and the Board of Directors in the conduct of the financial affairs of the Associations, including the development of the annual budget.

Organization
Membership of the Committee shall consist of the Section Chair, Chair-Elect, Immediate Past Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and the Executive Director. The immediate Past Chair of the Section shall be the Committee Chair. The Board liai­son is the Association Chair.

Primary Activities
It shall be the duty of the Committee to:
        1. Prepare the annual budget for presentation to the Board of Directors at its first meeting following the
            annual conference and prior to January 1.
        2. Review any requests made to the Board of Directors for special funding from Committees, affiliated 
            organizations, national organizations and others. Prepare a recommendation for approval or
            disapproval of requested funding for submittal to the Board of Directors.
        3. Periodically review the financial affairs of the Associations including invest­ment activities and
            approve the annual audit prepared by independent auditors and submit the final audit to the Board of
            Directors for approval.
