(Buses depart at 11:00 am)

Limited to 50 people

The Western Wake Regional Water Reclamation Facility (WWRWRF) was completed in August 201. Rater at 18 million gallon per day (NGD), the WWRWRF utilizes state-of-the-art technology to minimize noise and order impacts on neighborhoods. Effluent from the treatment process is pumped through an 11-mile pipeline to the discharge location, downstream of the Buckhorn Dam on the Cape Fear River.

The WWRWRF solids handling facility produces Class A, Exceptional Quality biosolids in compliance with EPA 503 regulations, meaning the final product can be applied in a wide variety of beneficial reuse applications, virtually free of site and use restrictions.

Come enjoy a catered lunch, a tour of the facility, and a presentation by plant staff and the plant's design manager.

It is anticipated that 1.0 continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for the facility tour. Final CEU approvals will be available closer to the conference and printed in the Conference Program distributed on-site. Please be aware that while the tour is worth 1.0 CEU, with travel time, tour participants will be away from the conference site for more than one hour.
