The next meeting of the Eastern Professional Wastewater Operators Committee will be held Thursday – December 5, 2019.  This meeting will be hosted by ONWASA.  Please RSVP by Tuesday, December 3rd to Jimmy Pridgen at (252) 205-2519 or jpridgen@wilsonnc.org.  This is an open meeting, and membership is not required to attend.  Please share the agenda with others who may be interested.

Following lunch, there will be a presentation on “WHEN DISASTER HITS: Manual Operation of a Regional WRF Following Hurricane Florence” by Jimmy Holland, PE with WK Dickson & Co., Inc.  Following the presentation, there will be a WWTP tour.

The ONWASA Northwest Regional Water Reclamation Facility is a 2.0 MGD facility consisting of influent metering, mechanical bar screens, an automatic aerated grit chamber, splitter box, 2 SBR Basins, 1 Post EQ basin, 2 disk filters, Ultra Filtration membrane system, with UV disinfection and secondary chlorine contact chamber with effluent pump station, 2 upset ponds and effluent utilization through 4 infiltration basins and bulk water reuse system.
