NC AWWA-WEA takes the health and safety of its members, volunteers, and other stakeholders seriously. This page has been established to provide updates on changes regarding upcoming events but also provide useful information and resources to assist during this period. Refund Policy During COVID-19

At this time, we request that registrants wait a few weeks before requesting a refund. This will allow NC AWWA-WEA time to communicate updated information and offer opportunities for transferring registration funds. Executive Order No. 124

On March 31, 2020, Governor Roy Cooper issued Executive Order 124 which prohibits utility shut-offs, late fees and reconnection fees for residential customers.  Additionally, this order requires Utility Service Providers to submit weekly reports to the NC Utilities Commission (NCUC). 


According to EO 124, Utility Service Provider are identified as “all political subdivisions, organizations, quasi-governmental entities, and business that provide directly to end-user residential customers electric, natural gas, water, or wastewater services, as well as all providers of a combination of these services.” (Section 1, A) 


The NC Utilities Commission (NCUC) has provided a fillable form on the Executive Order 124 page of their website.  This form should be completed and submitted by the end-of-day Wednesday for the prior week’s activities.
