Annual Model Water Tower Contests

Welcome to our Model Water Tower Page!

Every year our Public Education Committee hosts two Model Water Tower Contest- one in Charlotte and one in Raleigh.

This contest is designed to allow kids to creatively learn more about water usage and all of the elements that go in to designing a functioning water tower. The goal is for each team to create a fully functioning model water tower out of whatever resources they can obtain.

Kids are encouraged to use recycled material as much as possible in the building of their tower.

This contest is for Elementary School (4th and 5th grades) and Middle School students. Children can compete individually or on a team of up to 4 people.
